About Me
I'm Muhammad Aamir Malik, a backend-focused full stack developer with 4.5+ years of experience building and running Node.js and TypeScript APIs on AWS. I am strong in API design, data modelling across DynamoDB, MongoDB and PostgreSQL, authentication and access control, payments, testing and code review.
At Algoace I am project lead for Clear Minds Hypnotherapy, a live wellness app with 100K+ downloads on Google Play. I own its serverless backend of 90+ Lambda functions and 20 DynamoDB tables, review pull requests, guide other developers and run the App Store and Play Store releases.
I also ship the React Native apps that use these APIs, so I can own a feature from database to screen. Before Algoace I worked at Softstings, and I freelance on Upwork and Fiverr, building Node.js and AWS backends and React Native apps for international clients.

My Work Experience
Full Stack Developer & Project Lead @ Algoace
Onsite | November 2022 - Present
Project lead for Clear Minds Hypnotherapy, an audio wellness app live on the App Store and Google Play with 100K+ Play downloads.
Own the serverless Node.js and TypeScript API on AWS Lambda and API Gateway: 90+ functions across 24 domains, 20 DynamoDB tables with secondary indexes and streams, S3 presigned uploads, an SQS queue and 7 scheduled jobs.
Solved the CloudFormation 500-resource limit when the main stack reached 499: moved new routes to a separate stack attached to the same API, so the app kept one base URL and the production tables were never at risk.
Hardened API access with strict and audit Lambda authorizers and moved them into their own stack.
Added Jest tests for handlers, services and middleware (29 test files) and benchmarked the API with tinybench and autocannon. The report caught a bug that silently dropped user search results.
Review pull requests, guide other developers and run App Store and Play Store releases. On the client side, maintain the 40+ screen React Native app with offline downloads, Chromecast and a subscription paywall.
Other backends built at Algoace: Toggle (Express and MongoDB API on Lambda, 77 endpoints), Cool Gym Bro (Express and MongoDB API, 69 endpoints), Dreamwhisp (Supabase PostgreSQL) and Subscription Planner (Lambda and DynamoDB).

FamilyKhata: Offline-First Family Ledger
Offline-first family ledger for expenses, loans and savings, built with React Native and Supabase. A SQLite queue and sync engine with conflict detection, and every amount encrypted on the device so the server never stores plain figures.
